Proximity probes system : VK serie

The VK Series vibration transducer is an eddy-current probes and transducer system designed to satisfy the American Petroleum Institute API St'd 670.

It measures the shaft radial vibration or axial displacement of rotating machinery without contact. This is the most appropriate sensor to measure the shaft vibration of rotating machinery supported by plain bearings and is frequently used to monitor the vibration of turbine generators and compressors.

In addition, the VK system can be used in an explosive gas atmosphere due to its intrinsic safety construction.

  • Target material: AISI 4140 steel, flat surface
  • Sensitivity*: 7,87 mV/ µ m or 200mV/mil
  • Calibration* : better than +/- 5% with system calibration (option)
  • better than +/-9% interchangeability included
  • Linearity* : better than +/-20 µ m with system calibration
  • Operating temerature:
  • Probe & cables= -40 à + 177°C (sauf connecteur : 125°C)
  • Driver = -36 to + 80°C
  • Humidity: 30 to 95%
  • Power supply: -17,5V à -26V dc
  • Consumtion (load 10Kohms) : maxi 15 mA
  • Frequency range: DC à 10KHz to -3dB
  • Output impedance: 50 ohms
  • Probe diameter: 5mm or 8mm
  • Connectors : stainless steel gold plated
  • System length: 5m or 9m (+/-10%)
  • Optional ATEX Ex ia IIC T4 or FM or CSA approvement
